"Good business leaders create a vision, articulate the vision, passionately own the vision, and relentlessly drive it to completion."
- Jack Welch

Many of the challenges that small to mid size businesses face are predictable and well known. However, what is not predictable and well known is how they affect YOUR business.

The Rockland Group specializes in rapidly analyzing how these challenges affect your business given its unique leadership, culture, market, technology, and customer base. This differentiates The Rockland Group from the multitude of consulting firms that offer canned, template-style approaches or standardized training programs. Each of our projects is a customized application of our broad general management and technical expertise utilizing proven principles geared to your unique company requirements. The Rockland Group acts as your objective and experienced partner, working as an extension of your management team so your organization can learn to more quickly and accurately identify and action challenges independently in the future.

We accomplish this by:

  • Establishing comprehensive initial communication with you, your board, your management team, and your key employees to completely understand the unique attributes and challenges that your company is facing. If appropriate, and with your prior approval, we can also include an analysis of your market, competition, and customer base.

  • Emphasizing a clear understanding and agreement on measurable goals that will benchmark the success of the project before we start.

  • Breaking complex or lengthy projects into managable phases where the deliverable of phase one is always to report on and achieve understanding and agreement on the root causes before attempting to formulate a solution.

  • Submission of a clearly defined written proposal including a project schedule with agreed upon resource requirements from The Rockland Group, you, and your key employees, if necessary.

  • Working as a team. This means that you need to be willing to invest your time to support our efforts on your behalf. This includes being available for updates and feedback either informally or via formal presentation. Board members, management team members, key employees, and other stakeholders are very attentive. If they note that the project is not a high priority for you, it will not be a high priority for them, and the chance for a successful outcome will be greatly diminished.

  • COMPLETE OBJECTIVITYThe Rockland Group does not pay nor will we accept referral fees of any kind.  This allows us to maintain complete objectivity and avoid conflicts of interest when analyzing your company's root cause issues and recommending qualified specialized service providers, if appropriate.

  • Guaranteeing that we will ALWAYS meet the agreed upon project goals.
